    Overview

    A reputable medical practice in Bloemfontein is looking for a Medical Financial/Administrative Clerk with strong organizational and finance skills to manage patient accounts, medical aid claims, and provide administrative support. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a medical environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Financial & Account Management

    • Process daily EFTs, receipts, and perform bank reconciliations.

    • Manage patient accounts and follow up on payments and outstanding balances.

    • Handle debt collection processes professionally and timeously.

    Medical Aid & IOD/COID Claims

    • Submit and track medical aid claims via EDI systems for efficient payment.

    • Handle IOD/COID claims via CompEasy: uploading reports, authorizations, and invoices.

    • Ensure all claim documentation is complete and compliant.

    Administrative & Support Duties

    • Provide administrative assistance to biokineticists and help register patients with medical aids.

    • Perform general reception duties including:

      • Answering patient queries

      • Scheduling appointments

      • Managing filing systems

    • Assist with report preparation, system backups, and meeting packs.

    • Provide reception relief at other sites when necessary.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12

    • 2–3 years’ experience in medical billing or administration

    • Knowledge of medical aid and IOD/COID claims (training will be provided if necessary)

    • Proficient in MS Office and familiar with MedeMass or other medical software

    • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
