Blaze Ocean (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Freelance Camera Operator to assist with various video production projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a range of professional broadcast and digital production equipment. This part-time opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about visual storytelling and capable of working independently in dynamic production environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate professional ENG cameras, lapel microphone kits, and lighting kits during filming sessions.

Manage and operate multi-camera switchers and OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) for live or recorded productions.

Set up and control robotic cameras and related production systems.

Ensure consistent video quality, framing, and lighting standards across shoots.

Collaborate with production teams to achieve desired creative and technical outcomes.

Maintain and care for camera and lighting equipment.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements:

Previous industry experience in video production or broadcast camera operation (essential).

Proficiency in handling ENG cameras, OBS software, and multi-camera setups.

Knowledge of lighting principles and sound setup for professional recording.

Strong attention to detail and visual composition skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet production deadlines.
