Job Description:
VKB Group is seeking an experienced Flexographic Printing Operator for its Crown Bag operation in Harrismith. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating high-speed multicolour flexographic printing machines, ensuring the production of high-quality printed materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a key role within VKB’s packaging division and requires a professional with hands-on printing experience and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate multicolour flexographic printing machines, including mounting and setting stereos.

Monitor print quality and perform necessary adjustments during production.

Interpret and follow job cards and printing specifications accurately.

Coordinate with the production team to meet deadlines.

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on printing equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues as they arise.

Adhere to all company safety protocols and operational procedures.
Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (or equivalent)

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a machine operator

Proven experience in a flexographic printing environment

Strong understanding of:

Flexographic printing processes
-
Inks, stereo tapes, and Pantone colour systems

Physically capable of handling printing machinery and lifting components

Willingness to work flexible hours to meet production demands

Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure

Good planning and time management abilities

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office
