Job Purpose
To assist customers in-store by providing exceptional book knowledge and service, managing stock, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store while driving sales through upselling and relationship-building.
Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12)
-
Physically strong and healthy
-
Experience in retail or sales environment (advantageous)

Preferably a qualification in Marketing, English Literature, Journalism, Communications, or related

Fully bilingual
-
High level of computer literacy

Key Responsibilities

Deliver excellent customer service in-store

Assist with receiving and unpacking stock

Merchandise shelves and windows attractively and on schedule

Manage stock levels, assist in controlling shrinkage

Process transactions, handle cash-ups, vouchers, and POS admin
-
Provide book recommendations and order books for customers

Monitor store security and prevent shoplifting
-
Support store promotions and push incentivised sales targets
