Job Purpose
To serve as the first point of contact for hotel guests by managing check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations, and delivering exceptional customer service at the front desk.
Minimum Requirements
No formal qualification required (hospitality certificate is advantageous)
Good command of English communication skills (verbal and written)
Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
Previous reception or hospitality experience preferred
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Excellent customer service orientation

High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Time management and organizational skills
Basic numeracy for handling billing and payments

Key Responsibilities
Make and confirm guest reservations
Register and check-in guests upon arrival
Allocate rooms and issue room keys
Handle check-outs, close accounts, and process payments
Maintain accurate guest records and bookings
Answer guest queries in-person and via telephone
Transmit and receive messages for guests
Inform housekeeping of vacated rooms for cleaning
Monitor guest activity and enforce hotel policies
Maintain a clean and organized front desk/reception area
Perform administrative duties and any other tasks assigned by management
