Technical Requirements
The successful bidder must:
- Work in accordance with NEC3 Engineering Professional Service Contract (Option A)
- Comply with South African engineering and environmental standards
- Manage procurement and contract administration
- Obtain permits and authorisations such as:
- Water Use Licences (WULA)
- Environmental Authorisations
- Implement Occupational Health and Safety standards
Skills and Experience Required
The municipality requires:
- Registered professionals with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA)
- Professional Engineers or Technologists in Water and Sanitation
Minimum Experience
- At least 3 years post-registration experience
- Wastewater treatment infrastructure experience
- Design and supervision experience on similar projects
- Tender documentation and contract management experience
- Site supervision and quality control expertise
Additional Requirements
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of environmental legislation
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
