Job Overview
Nedbank is seeking an experienced Provincial Head: Northern Cape & Free State to provide transformational leadership across a strategically important provincial market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving commercial growth, strengthening key client relationships, expanding market share and ensuring strong financial, operational and client outcomes across the province.
Key Responsibilities
Provincial Business Leadership
- Develop and execute the provincial commercial strategy.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth and market-share expansion.
- Lead the provincial franchise and align resources and priorities.
- Monitor business performance and implement corrective measures.
- Improve client satisfaction, loyalty and overall service experience.
- Use client feedback and performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Client Coverage & Relationship Management
- Oversee Commercial client coverage activities.
- Deepen strategic client relationships and increase share of wallet.
- Improve client retention and strengthen Nedbank’s market presence.
- Guide relationship teams in delivering integrated banking solutions.
- Build long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Revenue, Profitability & Portfolio Management
- Drive revenue, profitability and balance-sheet growth.
- Monitor portfolio performance, pipelines and client profitability.
- Identify new growth opportunities and manage performance risks.
- Optimise portfolio composition and resource allocation.
Sector & Market Development
- Lead initiatives across diverse economic sectors and specialised client segments.
- Identify market trends, opportunities and competitive threats.
- Work with sector specialists to develop industry-focused propositions.
- Represent Nedbank within provincial business communities.
- Strengthen the bank’s visibility, reputation and influence in the market.
Integrated Solution Delivery
- Coordinate collaboration between coverage, product, credit, service and specialist teams.
- Facilitate effective decision-making and execution.
- Remove barriers to service delivery and improve client outcomes.
Risk, Governance & Compliance
- Manage sophisticated client portfolios while maintaining strong risk discipline.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and governance requirements.
- Promote a strong risk culture throughout the provincial franchise.
- Ensure responsible business and financial decision-making.
People Leadership
- Lead, develop and motivate provincial leadership teams.
- Drive workforce planning and succession management.

Minimum Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
- Professional qualification or Honours degree.
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in Commerce, Finance, Business Management, Banking, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
