    The Free State Provincial Treasury is seeking a highly organized and professional individual to fill the position of Personal Assistant within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The ideal candidate will provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to ensure the efficient functioning of the CFO’s office in alignment with public service standards and financial governance requirements.

    Job Title: Personal Assistant – Office of the Chief Financial Officer

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver comprehensive secretarial and receptionist support to the Chief Director (CFO).

    • Provide general administrative support including document preparation, filing, and coordination of correspondence.

    • Organize and coordinate meetings, including logistical arrangements, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.

    • Assist with the monitoring and administration of the Chief Director’s budget.

    • Study and apply relevant Public Service and Departmental prescripts and policies to support the CFO’s office effectively.

    Qualifications:

    • A Secretarial Diploma or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6).

    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as a personal assistant or administrative support in a senior management office.

    • Knowledge of:

      • Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

      • Treasury Regulations

      • Public Service Act and Public Service Regulations

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    Benefits:

    • R325 101 per annum (Level 07), basic salary.
