    Job Description

    The Operational Manager Nursing will oversee and coordinate specialised maternity and neonatal nursing services at Botshabelo District Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring quality patient care, effective management of nursing staff and resources, compliance with professional standards and legislation, and the coordination of training and research.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
    • Diploma or Degree in Nursing, or an equivalent qualification allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
    • Post-basic nursing qualification of at least 1 year, accredited by SANC in the relevant specialty.
    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
    • Minimum 9 years’ appropriate/recognisable nursing experience after registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
    • At least 5 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in Advanced Midwifery, specifically involving:
      • Labour Ward
      • Postnatal Wards
    • The specialised experience must have been obtained after completion of the 1-year post-basic qualification.
    • Current SANC registration for 2026/2027.
    • Computer literacy.
