Job Overview
Fidelity Services Group is looking for a Training Officer to join its Group Learning and Development division in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing training programs for security personnel while ensuring that all training interventions meet industry standards and legislative requirements.
The role focuses on facilitating learning programs, mentoring learners, and ensuring that all training activities comply with regulatory bodies such as SASSETA, PSIRA, QCTO, and the Department of Labour. The Training Officer will play an important role in developing skilled security professionals by ensuring training quality, compliance, and effective learning outcomes.
This position is ideal for individuals who have strong training, facilitation, and assessment skills, along with relevant security training accreditations and a passion for developing others.
Job Description
The Training Officer will be responsible for delivering training programmes, assessing learner competence, and maintaining compliance with training standards within the security industry.
Key Responsibilities

Present and facilitate training interventions according to approved learning programs and quality standards.

Assess learner competence based on unit standards and programme outcomes.

Coach and mentor learners participating in learnership programmes.

Ensure training sessions comply with internal quality management systems (QMS) and industry best practices.

Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including SASSETA, PSIRA, QCTO, and the Department of Labour.

Implement approved curricula, training materials, and assessment methods.

Maintain accurate training records and documentation.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification.
-
Valid Driver’s Licence (EB).
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Required Accreditations and Registrations
-
PSIRA Grades E–A Instructor certification.
-
PFTC Instructor accreditation for all firearm categories.
-
Facilitator registration with ETDP SETA.
-
Assessor registration with ETDP SETA and SASSETA.
-
Moderator registration with ETDP SETA and SASSETA (advantageous).
-
Accreditation to facilitate and assess Skills Programmes 1, 2, and 3 (compulsory).

General Security Practices (GSO) qualification at NQF Level 3.
-
Specialist Security Practices qualification at NQF Level 4 (beneficial).
