Job Overview
Virgin Active is seeking qualified Swim Coaches to deliver structured, safe, and engaging Learn to Swim lessons to both children and adults.
This is a contractor-based role where instructors manage their own schedules and client base while working closely with the Swim Manager. The position focuses on skill development, water safety, confidence building, and maintaining compliance with pool safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver structured Learn to Swim lessons (group and private sessions)

Monitor and track swimmer progress

Communicate effectively with parents and adult clients

Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times

Provide constructive feedback to swimmers

Foster confidence and positive learning experiences

Adhere to all pool, safety, and health regulations
Minimum Requirements

Valid Learn to Swim Instructor Certification

Current CPR Certification
-
Experience teaching swimmers of various age groups

Strong communication skills with a positive and professional approach
Advantageous (Bonus Skills)

Lifeguard Certification

Experience in Swim Squad coaching
-
Stroke correction and advanced technique training experience
