Job Description
As a Principal Analyst, you will perform routine laboratory tests using established procedures and customer-supplied methods. You will analyse product samples, maintain lab equipment, and ensure safety and quality standards are strictly followed.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing
- Conduct routine tests on product samples following established procedures
- Prepare samples, reagents, and lab instruments for analysis
- Record and report results accurately in LIMS or lab logbooks
Equipment & Process Management
- Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory instruments
- Monitor for equipment malfunctions and report them promptly
- Ensure lab work complies with ISO/IEC 17025 standards
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all laboratory health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laboratory
- Report abnormal results or safety concerns immediately
Support Tasks
- Assist with sample collection, labelling, and storage
- Contribute to maintaining quality assurance processes in the lab
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics or N3 Technical Mathematics
- Physical Science knowledge is advantageous
- National Diploma in Chemistry or related field is preferred
