Objective
To appoint a specialized service provider to deliver comprehensive hygiene services across municipal buildings for a period of 36 months, ensuring occupational health, environmental compliance, and a clean, safe working environment.
Scope of Work
The contract includes:
Hygiene Equipment (Rental Basis)
Supply and installation of stainless steel/metallic hygiene equipment
Maintenance and servicing of installed equipment
Equipment remains property of service provider
Removal upon contract termination
Consumables Supply & Refill
Hand sanitisers
Toilet paper
Cleaning agents
Pest control products
Weekly sanitary bin removal and disposal
Cleaning Services
Quarterly internal and external window cleaning
Quarterly deep cleaning of toilets
Use of environmentally friendly cleaning products
Pest Control
Annual pest control treatments for:
Rodents
Cockroaches
Ants
Paper lice
Issuance of treatment certificates after each service

Technical Requirements
The appointed service provider must:
Supply stainless steel/metal hygiene equipment
Use environmentally friendly products compliant with Act 36 of 1947
Provide MSDS documentation for all chemicals
Ensure technicians carry:
Valid certification
Registration cards
PCO registration cards
Hold accreditation with:
SAIOH
ISO 9001 (Quality Management)
Provide valid public liability insurance
Provide working at heights certification (for window cleaning)
Develop and implement:
Project management plan
Risk management plan
Quality assurance plan
Maintenance plan
All services must comply with applicable safety, health, and environmental legislation.
Skills & Experience Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate:
Proven experience in hygiene services, window cleaning, and pest control
At least four client reference letters
Qualified and certified technicians
Technical expertise in pest management and hygiene systems
Capability to manage long-term service contracts
Knowledge of environmental compliance and approved chemical use
Ability to provide structured reporting and customer support
