Role Purpose
The Broker Consultant will be responsible for attracting, engaging, and retaining profitable business from brokers in the Bloemfontein and Kimberley regions. The goal is to grow the broker network and improve channel profitability through strong relationships, marketing initiatives, and product promotion.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
FSB-recognized qualification (minimum 120 credits) for compliance supervision
FAIS Representative Regulatory Exam Level 5 (desirable)
Class of Business 3 and 7 (Investments and Long-Term Insurance)
Experience
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Broker Consultant
Experience in:
Mass Market industry
Stop Order market
FAIS Tier 1 long-term insurance and pension products
Other Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Own reliable transport
Strong network of Financial Service Providers (FSPs)
Product and competitor knowledge
Proficiency in English (African languages advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
Broker Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with existing and new brokers
Identify broker needs and provide support
Negotiate business and service agreements with intermediaries
Sales & Marketing
Promote Metropolitan financial products to brokers
Develop marketing plans to outperform competitor strategies
Organize marketing presentations and broker training
Business Development
Grow the broker base and increase market share
Initiate marketing campaigns to secure profitable new business
Maintain quality standards and manage business risks
Administration & Compliance
Prepare quotations and process new business applications
Manage broker contracts, missed payments, and after-sales service
Ensure all company policies and processes are followed
Client Service & Reporting
Monitor service standards and turnaround times
Manage and resolve client and broker queries
Provide regular performance and service reports
