Role Purpose
The Parts Salesman is responsible for facilitating the sale of vehicle parts while building strong relationships with customers. The role involves processing orders, preparing quotations and invoices, managing stock, and ensuring excellent customer service within the Parts Department.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
Build strong relationships between the company and customers
Receive and process parts sales orders
Prepare quotes and invoices
Achieve sales targets and KPIs
Maintain and grow the customer base
Identify and obtain new customers
Parts & Order Management
Process parts sales orders timeously
Order urgent parts from the central warehouse
Monitor delivery and collection of parts
Distribute backordered parts to customers
Follow up on Vehicle-Off-Road (V.O.R) orders
Administration
Maintain an up-to-date invoice register
File quotes, orders, and invoices correctly
Monitor picking of customer invoices
Update and maintain parts catalogues
Assist with stock take procedures
Operations Support
Assist in all parts department operations
Provide support to the Warehouse Supervisor/Controller
Ensure optimal customer satisfaction
Compliance & Safety
Follow ISO 9001 processes
Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Adhere to Safety Act and workplace standards
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12)
Experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience in parts sales
Previous experience in a parts retail environment
Technical background (advantageous)
Computer Skills
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
