Job Description
The Artisan performs and supervises technical design, production, operation, and maintenance services. The role includes managing job requests, mentoring junior staff, and performing administrative duties related to technical operations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform and supervise maintenance and technical services in plumbing, mechanical, or electrical systems

Supervise and mentor subordinates and junior artisans

Monitor completion of job requests and maintenance schedules

Perform administrative functions related to technical operations

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards

Support overall hospital operational efficiency through reliable technical services
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Registration
-
Appropriate trade test certificate recognized by SAQA
-
Relevant completed apprenticeship and proof of passing the official trade test under the Manpower Training Act, 1981
-
Valid driver’s license
-
N3 certificate is an added advantage
Knowledge & Skills

Technical knowledge of plumbing, mechanical, or electrical systems

Ability to supervise and mentor staff
