Qualifications and Experience Required:

Grade 12
-
Relevant Bachelor’s degree

FAIS accredited NQF5 (120 credits)

Full product holding accreditation

Managerial Experience
-
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) – preferable

Driver’s license and own car (non-negotiable)
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Direction:

Communicate the strategy of the function, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Motivate teams to commit to organizational goals and inspire extraordinary performance.
Sales Opportunities Creation:

Develop and maintain a network of senior managers within the business sector and key advisory bodies.

Represent Old Mutual at major industry events to enhance market intelligence and promote the organization’s reputation.
Sell Customer Propositions:

Lead internal teams to configure complex, high-value, tailored products and solutions.

Negotiate agreements with customers and colleagues to ensure that customer needs are met, balancing commercial risk.
Key Account Management:

Manage a portfolio of complex customer relationships and/or account managers to drive profitable business growth.

Ensure quality service and foster ongoing business success with strategic accounts.
Business Planning:

Develop annual business plans for your area, proposing targets such as revenues or KPIs, and aligning activities with organizational strategy.

Propose financial and headcount budgets, ensuring integration with the company’s wider goals.
Promoting Customer Focus:

Develop internal marketing plans and collaborate with departments to strengthen relationships within the company.

Build and sustain strong customer relationships externally, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
Customer Relationship Management / Account Management:

Implement relationship management plans for strategic accounts.

Ensure two-way communication with clients and coordinate responses to resolve any issues.
Performance Management:

Manage departmental performance and set clear objectives for direct reports.

Take corrective action when necessary to ensure annual business objectives are achieved.
Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting:

Develop and implement relationship management plans for potential accounts.

Build strong relationships at local and national levels and maintain a seamless flow of information between the company and customer organizations.
Budgeting:

Manage departmental budgets, including their development and delivery.
Organizational Capability Building:

Assess staff capabilities and identify development gaps.

Implement development frameworks and mentor others to strengthen the organization’s talent pool.
