Job Title: Deputy Director: Economic Research Management

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee departmental economic research to support evidence-based decision-making
-
Ensure high-quality, valid research outputs and actionable recommendations

Coordinate and participate in stakeholder engagements and research networks

Develop and review policies and guidelines on economic research in line with provincial and national frameworks
-
Contribute to the development of the departmental strategic and operational plans
-
Oversee and manage sub-directorate resources including human resources, assets, and budget
Qualifications:
-
Undergraduate degree in Economics or a related field
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an economic development environment
-
At least 3 years’ experience at junior management level
-
Strong knowledge of legislation and policies related to economic development
-
Computer literacy and a valid driver’s license required
