Job Title:
Marketing Lecturer (Part-Time)
Job Purpose
The Marketing Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, preparing students for assessments, tracking academic performance, and supporting student success. The role involves engaging with the Central Academic Team to develop assessments and identify at-risk students while ensuring an effective learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging lectures in line with module pacers and curriculum requirements.

Provide academic support, monitor student progress, and identify at-risk students.

Update the Learning Management System (LMS) and provide student feedback.

Develop and design Teaching-Learning materials aligned with learning outcomes.

Monitor student engagement and escalate concerns when necessary.

Assist in academic administration, including student registration and orientation.

Support part-time lecturers and participate in faculty meetings.

Conduct research or engage in academic professional development activities.
Minimum Requirements
-
Honours degree in Marketing (or related field).

A PGCE/PGDHE qualification is advantageous.

1 to 3 years of industry experience in Marketing.

Minimum of 3 years lecturing experience in a higher education institution.
Key Competencies

Strong knowledge of South African higher education policies and frameworks.

Understanding of Teaching and Learning methodologies.

Ability to support students and manage academic administration effectively.

Familiarity with digital academic platforms and online teaching tools.

Adaptability in a fast-changing academic environment.

Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.

Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
