    Job Title:

    Marketing Lecturer (Part-Time)

    Job Purpose

    The Marketing Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, preparing students for assessments, tracking academic performance, and supporting student success. The role involves engaging with the Central Academic Team to develop assessments and identify at-risk students while ensuring an effective learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging lectures in line with module pacers and curriculum requirements.

    • Provide academic support, monitor student progress, and identify at-risk students.

    • Update the Learning Management System (LMS) and provide student feedback.

    • Develop and design Teaching-Learning materials aligned with learning outcomes.

    • Monitor student engagement and escalate concerns when necessary.

    • Assist in academic administration, including student registration and orientation.

    • Support part-time lecturers and participate in faculty meetings.

    • Conduct research or engage in academic professional development activities.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Honours degree in Marketing (or related field).

    • A PGCE/PGDHE qualification is advantageous.

    • 1 to 3 years of industry experience in Marketing.

    • Minimum of 3 years lecturing experience in a higher education institution.

    Key Competencies

    • Strong knowledge of South African higher education policies and frameworks.

    • Understanding of Teaching and Learning methodologies.

    • Ability to support students and manage academic administration effectively.

    • Familiarity with digital academic platforms and online teaching tools.

    • Adaptability in a fast-changing academic environment.

    • Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.

    Working Hours

    Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
