    Responsibilities:

    • Teach and assess undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Psychology

    • Provide academic supervision and study guidance to postgraduate students

    • Conduct and publish high-quality research

    • Participate in curriculum development and programme review

    • Coordinate and participate in community engagement and service-learning projects

    • Recruit senior students for postgraduate studies

    • Perform academic and departmental administrative duties

    • Contribute to strengthening the academic identity of the department

    Qualifications:

    Lecturer Level:

    • PhD in Psychology (NQF Level 10) or Master’s degree in Psychology (NQF Level 9) with contract appointment and PhD completion required within five years

    • Registered Clinical Psychologist with HPCSA (minimum 3 years, active status)

    • Previous teaching, training, or facilitation experience at tertiary level

    • Evidence of research activity or potential

    • Strong academic record

    Senior Lecturer Level:

    • PhD in Psychology (NQF Level 10)

    • Registered Clinical Psychologist with HPCSA (minimum 3 years, active status)

    • Proven undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience

    • Track record of conference presentations

    • Peer-reviewed publications in accredited journals

    • Successful master’s-level student supervision

    • Demonstrated potential for NRF rating

    • Strong academic record

    Recommended Experience/Skills:

    • Involvement in faculty and departmental activities

    • Proficiency in MS Office

    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

    • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

    • Ability to work collaboratively and build academic networks
