Tender Objective
The National Health Laboratory Service seeks a suitable service provider to supply, deliver, install and service cyan drum units for a Konica Minolta machine at the Human Genetics Department in Universitas, Bloemfontein.
The objective is to restore the equipment to full operational capacity through the supply of compatible components and professional installation and servicing.
Scope of Work
Supply & Delivery
- Supply compatible cyan drum units for the existing Konica Minolta machine.
- Deliver the required components to the Human Genetics Department, Universitas, Bloemfontein.
Installation
- Remove and replace the relevant drum component.
- Install and mechanically integrate the new cyan drum.
- Complete the required initial configuration.
Service & Testing
- Conduct post-installation testing.
- Calibrate the machine where required.
- Perform functional checks.
- Verify print quality and machine performance.
- Resolve any compatibility or installation issues.
Technical Requirements
Tenderers should be able to provide:
- Reference letters demonstrating previous installations or servicing of similar Konica Minolta equipment.
- A commitment letter confirming that the assigned technician has recognised qualifications or manufacturer-approved competency for Konica Minolta servicing and installation.
- Compatible and suitable cyan drum components.
- Appropriate technical expertise for installation, calibration and testing.
Supplier Compliance
The required RFQ documentation must be completed and submitted as specified, including applicable procurement documentation such as:
- Tax compliance information.
- Central Supplier Database (CSD) registration.
- B-BBEE documentation.
- Declaration of interest.
- Acceptance of the General Conditions of Contract.
- Other mandatory documents listed in the RFQ.
Skills & Technical Expertise
The service provider should have:
- Practical experience with Konica Minolta imaging equipment.
- Knowledge of printer hardware installation and component replacement.
- Ability to perform calibration and post-installation diagnostics.
- Ability to identify and resolve equipment compatibility issues.
- Strong quality-control and testing capabilities.
- Ability to complete service reports and required technical documentation.
