    The Service Technician is responsible for servicing and maintaining digital mono and colour printing equipment in mid to high-volume environments. This role ensures reliable and cost-effective equipment performance while providing high customer satisfaction.      Job Description

    As a Service Technician, you will:

    • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on customer digital printers and copiers.
    • Maintain mono and colour equipment in mid- to high-volume environments.
    • Respond proactively to customer service needs and ensure high satisfaction.
    • Follow efficient service processes, including call handling, escalation, and spares management.
    • Stay updated on product developments, service bulletins, and new technologies.
    • Take care of company assets, including service vans and toolkits.
    • Take ownership of your personal development by continuously improving technical skills.

     Key Responsibilities

    • Service and maintain digital printers and copiers.
    • Provide reliable, cost-effective service to clients.
    • Communicate efficiently with Work Control and escalate calls as needed.
    • Monitor and manage spare parts effectively.
    • Follow all service procedures and company policies.
    • Maintain company equipment and ensure proper use of tools and van kits.
    • Keep technical skills up-to-date through ongoing learning.

     Requirements

     Educational Qualifications

    • Matric (Mathematics & Science)
    • N4 Electronics or Electromechanical qualification, or equivalent diploma

     Experience

    • 2–3 years servicing mid- to high-volume digital printers
    • 1 year colour printer experience preferred
    • Experience on Lexmark products advantageous but not essential

     Professional Qualifications / Skills

    • A+ certification advantageous
    • Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and manage customer interactions

     Other Requirements

    • Code 08 Driver’s License
    • Own vehicle
