Job Description
This role requires working with the IQ Retail system daily, handling cash, card, and EFT payments, performing cash-ups, and assisting customers. You will also support the store team in maintaining a smooth retail operation.
Attention to detail, reliability, and customer service skills are key for success.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management
- Operate the till and process customer transactions accurately
- Handle cash, card, and EFT payments
- Perform daily cash-ups and balance the till
IQ Retail System
- Use the IQ Retail system for sales, returns, discounts, and reports
- Ensure accurate scanning and pricing of items
Customer Service
- Assist customers with queries professionally
- Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude
Store Maintenance
- Keep the cashier point clean and organized
- Support the store team as needed
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 (advantageous)
Experience
- 1–2 years cashier experience in a retail environment
Skills & Knowledge
- Proficient in IQ Retail system (non-negotiable)
- Strong numerical skills
- Good communication skills (English essential, additional languages advantageous)
