Job Purpose
To provide strategic leadership and oversight of all provincial immovable property assets, including acquisition, leasing, maintenance, and disposal of government properties.

You manage government buildings, land, and property systems across the province.

Key Responsibilities
Property Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement property management strategies
- Align property plans with government goals
Property & Land Management
- Oversee:
- Acquisition of land/property
- Disposal of assets
- Registration processes
Asset & Information Systems
- Maintain property databases and systems
- Manage:
- Asset registers
- Debtors registers
Leasing & Contracts
- Manage leases and rental agreements
- Oversee property-related contracts
Facilities Oversight
- Coordinate:
- Maintenance services
- Cleaning and gardening services
Financial & Revenue Management
- Identify revenue opportunities from government properties
- Manage budgets and control expenditure
Resource Management
- Lead teams and manage staff
- Oversee financial and operational resources
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in:
- Property Management
- Built Environment
- Business/Public Management
Experience
- 5–7 years experience in property/asset management
- At least 5 years at senior management level

- Property and built environment frameworks
- Government Immovable Asset Management Act
- Public Finance Management Act
- Treasury Regulations
- Supply Chain Management processes
- Asset acquisition and disposal procedures
