Job Overview
Clicks Senekal is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Wellness Assistant to join its retail team.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional service to customers by offering knowledgeable assistance and basic advice on healthcare, nutrition and supplementation products. The role also involves driving sales, maintaining stock availability, implementing merchandising standards and building strong customer relationships.

Job Description
The Wellness Assistant will be responsible for:
- Providing exceptional customer service through strong in-store visibility and proactive engagement.
- Assisting customers with healthcare, nutritional and supplement products.
- Providing suitable basic advice based on customer needs.
- Driving healthcare sales in line with set targets.
- Promoting a wide range of brands through cross-selling and upselling.
- Maintaining stock availability within healthcare aisles.
- Following stock management principles and procedures.
- Applying stock rotation principles to minimise wastage.
- Following risk management policies to prevent stock losses.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness within the store.
- Implementing product merchandising according to Clicks guidelines.
- Following all store standard operating procedures.
- Continuously developing product knowledge and sharing relevant information with relief staff.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Mathematics: 50% or Mathematical Literacy: 60%.
- English: 50%.
- Pass in Life Science or Physics.
- A qualification in Sports, Fitness or Nutrition will be advantageous.
Experience
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- Selling skills and customer-related training.
- Experience working with sports nutrition and vitamin-related products will be advantageous.
Knowledge
Essential
- Basic knowledge of retail store operations.
- Understanding of stock management.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles.
- Understanding of risk management procedures.
Desirable
- Basic knowledge of health, fitness and supplements.
- Knowledge of sports nutrition and vitamin products.
