Job Purpose
The System Analyst will support and analyze business systems by acting as the link between business users and the Information & Technology team. The role involves gathering business requirements, improving existing systems, coordinating system enhancements, and ensuring IT solutions align with business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Business Information Systems
- Related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a System Analyst or similar role
- Experience with:
- System administration
- Coordinating software releases and system changes into production
- Supporting enterprise business systems
- Good communication skills in Afrikaans and English
- Experience working with third-party service providers
- Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) or similar database query languages
- Experience in the agriculture industry, particularly the grain and field crop sector, is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse business requirements
- Document current business processes and system functionality
- Recommend system improvements and enhancements
- Design functional and technical specifications
- Work closely with developers, network engineers, and project managers
- Support software testing and validation
- Monitor system performance after implementation
- Provide user training and ongoing system support
