     JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of the store, ensuring a high standard of customer service, strong sales performance, and effective team leadership.

    This role focuses on:

    • Driving sales and profitability
    • Managing staff and store operations
    • Creating an engaging and visually appealing shopping environment
    • Delivering a memorable customer experience

     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Sales & Performance Management

    • Drive store sales and achieve targets
    • Monitor performance and implement strategies to improve results
    • Analyse sales trends and customer behaviour

    2. Customer Service Excellence

    • Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service
    • Ensure a positive and engaging shopping experience
    • Handle customer queries and resolve issues effectively

    3. Team Leadership

    • Motivate, coach, and develop store staff
    • Build a positive and collaborative work culture
    • Manage staff performance and productivity

    4. Store Operations

    • Oversee daily store operations
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
    • Maintain store standards, cleanliness, and organization

    5. Visual Merchandising

    • Ensure attractive product displays
    • Maintain brand standards for store layout and presentation
    • Create visually appealing shopping environments

    6. Inventory Management

    • Manage stock levels and control shrinkage
    • Ensure accurate stock receiving and replenishment
    • Monitor inventory performance

    7. Financial Management

    • Assist with budgeting and cost control
    • Ensure efficient use of store resources

     REQUIREMENTS

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (Matric / NQF Level 4) or equivalent

    Experience

    • 3–4 years’ experience in retail/store management
    • Experience in sales and customer service management

    • Strong leadership and team management skills
    • Sales-driven with business acumen
    • Good problem-solving ability
    • Computer literacy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Understanding of retail, customers, and product trends
