    Job Description

    The Service Consultant: DHA is responsible for assisting Nedbank clients with Department of Home Affairs services and applications while ensuring compliance with legislative and banking requirements.

    The role includes:

    • Client support
    • Application processing

    • Risk and compliance administration
    • Customer relationship management
    • Promotion of digital banking solutions

    Key Responsibilities

    Client Engagement and Customer Service

    • Assist clients with DHA applications and queries.
    • Manage client requests from start to finish.
    • Build and maintain positive client relationships.
    • Keep clients updated on application progress.
    • Escalate unresolved issues according to procedures.
    • Educate clients on digital and self-service banking solutions.

    DHA Application Processing

    • Verify client appointments online.
    • Capture and validate client information.
    • Capture:
      • Digital photographs
      • Signatures
      • Fingerprints
    • Ensure all applications meet DHA requirements.

    Operations and Administration

    • Review daily appointments and workloads.
    • Ensure systems and devices are functioning correctly.
    • Report technical issues when necessary.
    • Manage stock and application materials.
    • Handle product returns and replacements.

    Risk and Compliance

    • Follow Nedbank and DHA procedures.
    • Prevent fraud and financial losses.
    • Adhere to:
      • AML regulations
      • FATCA requirements
      • TCF principles
      • EGC standards
    • Complete mandatory compliance training.
    • Stay updated on regulatory changes.

    Sales and Lead Generation

    • Identify potential sales opportunities.
    • Capture leads on client management systems.
    • Support cross-selling initiatives without providing financial advice.

    Minimum Requirements

    Applicants should have:

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • Banking Services qualification advantageous (e.g. Higher Certificate in Banking Services – NQF 5).
    • 1–2 years’ experience:
      • Interacting with customers
      • Resolving queries
      • Managing customer expectations
