- Job Title: Tyre Administrator
Job Purpose
To manage all tyre-related administration, including tyre breakdowns, mounting and dismounting on Sage, tyre order control, claims processing, stock control, and effective communication with internal departments and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
Process tyre breakdown invoices by retrieving breakdown information from the relevant fleet controller.
Mount and dismount tyres on Sage by:
Identifying tyre replacements (less than 4 mm tread).
Obtaining serial and burn numbers (contacting drivers when required).
Ensuring correct tyre orientation and wheel alignment.
Manage tyre order control through:
Accurate removal and recording of tyres.
Maintaining the D-book and capturing all required information.
Loading tyre orders onto trucks and securing loads in containers.
Handle tyre claims by:
Identifying and sorting possible manufacturing claims.
Capturing information on claim and scrap report sheets.
Assisting suppliers with tyre claims and rejections.
Regulate scrap data accurately and maintain effective stock control.
Process all tyre-related invoices and credit notes.
Perform monthly reconciliations of relevant tyre accounts.
Liaise with internal departments and external clients regarding tyre-related matters.
Assist with additional duties and tasks within the department as required.
Skills & Personal Attributes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
High attention to detail and quality-driven work ethic.
Bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
Experience & Education Requirements
National Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
Previous experience in the tyre industry will be an advantage.
Computer literacy is essential.
Work Environment
Office-based role with operational interaction.
Requires coordination with fleet, drivers, suppliers, and internal departments.
