    Job Overview

    RCL FOODS is seeking a Technical Advisor to provide bakery training, product support, and technical guidance to customers across retail and craft baking environments. The role involves problem-solving on bakery processes, implementing product innovations, supporting key accounts, and ensuring high-quality customer service aligned with RCL FOODS’ brand and product standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Technical Baking Training

    • Conduct formalized bakery training for customers according to the Outlet Targeting Model.

    • Demonstrate the RCL FOODS product range and provide continued staff training.

    • Develop customer-specific training plans and perform training needs analysis.

    • Keep accurate records of all trainings completed.

    2. Product Extensions & Innovation

    • Collaborate with the technical team to implement new product innovations.

    • Guide customers on product extensions to meet consumer needs.

    • Conduct test bakes and provide product costings and yield results.

    3. Customer Service & Complaint Handling

    • Provide solutions to product or process issues in bakery operations.

    • Handle customer complaints promptly and ensure correct processes are followed.

    4. Key Account Support

    • Support key account store openings, formal training, product preparation, trade shows, and promotional events.

    • Assist in golf days, trade days, and other marketing initiatives.

    5. Reporting & Analysis

    • Maintain monthly pre-call schedules and daily activity reports using handheld technology.

    • Gather market intelligence on trends, competition, and customer needs.

    6. Team Coordination & Self-Management

    • Demonstrate effective self-management in planning, prioritizing, and personal development.

    • Coordinate with internal teams to align customer support activities.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Matric.

    • Marketing or Sales degree/diploma.

    • 3–5 years of bakery operational/production experience.

    • 3–5 years of craft and retail baking experience.

    • Formal training experience for individuals and groups.

    • Valid Code EB driver’s license.

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong bakery technical knowledge and process problem-solving.

    • Effective training and presentation skills.

    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.

    • Knowledge of product innovations and market trends in the bakery sector.
