Purpose of the Role
The purpose of this role is to:
- Support the smooth flow of goods within the depot and retail environment
- Assist customers with products and loading
- Maintain stock presentation and replenishment
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency within the store
Main Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Assist customers with product information and inquiries.
- Help customers load purchased goods safely.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service.
Stock Handling and Merchandising
- Receive, move, unpack, and pack stock accurately.
- Ensure products are displayed correctly and attractively.
- Replenish stock on shelves and maintain stock availability.
- Assist with stock control and inventory organisation.
Store Maintenance and Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness and order on the depot floor.
- Ensure work areas are neat, organised, and safe.
- Support general housekeeping and operational duties.
Operational Support
- Assist colleagues with daily operational activities.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and company standards.
- Uphold company values and maintain a positive working environment.
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
Experience
- Experience in a depot or retail environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Johnson’s clothing products will be beneficial.
Other Requirements
- Clear criminal record
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labour
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays according to roster schedules
