Job Overview
The Receptionist will provide front-office, administrative and client-support services at KovsieFit. The successful candidates will be responsible for processing gym memberships and payments, handling client enquiries, supporting financial administration, assisting with facility access and maintaining effective day-to-day operations.
The position also involves general administration, health and safety support, maintenance reporting, group-class administration and assisting clients on the gym floor.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Capturing gym membership agreements, payments and access-related enrolments on relevant systems.
- Processing membership cancellations and responding to client enquiries via telephone, email and walk-ins.
- Managing compliance-related administrative requirements and maintaining accurate records.
- Assisting with debtor management, financial reports and debtor corrections.
- Contacting clients regarding outstanding accounts where required.
- Assisting with monthly financial reconciliation reports.
- Preparing monthly membership number reports.
- Supporting monthly access arrangements for High-Performance athletes using training facilities.
- Reporting building and equipment maintenance issues according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assisting with the opening and closing of KovsieFit.
- Working weekend shifts every second weekend from 07:00 to 11:00.
- Performing general office administration, including filing, photocopying and ordering stationery.
- Assisting with group classes, including bookings, class structures and client set-ups.
- Assisting clients on the gym floor with equipment and programmes.
- Reading and responding to KovsieFit emails.
- Supporting Health and Safety activities.
- Assisting with service requests and SOLVEIT queries to ensure timely resolution.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 or a National Vocational Certificate on NQF Level 4.
- At least one year’s relevant working experience relating to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Recommended Experience
Preference may be given to candidates with previous experience in:
- Gym management software.
- Debtor management.
- Financial data capturing.
- Reception duties.

Salary and Benefits
The annual remuneration package, including benefits, is R240,866.45 to R403,692.54 per annum. The final remuneration will depend on factors including the available budget, relevant work experience and qualifications.
