Job Overview
The Prepper at Pedros is responsible for preparing and plating food items accurately and efficiently in accordance with the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role is critical in maintaining food quality, speed of service, and hygiene standards within the Back of House (BOH) kitchen environment.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and committed to maintaining high food safety and cleanliness standards while supporting overall restaurant operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Read and interpret food orders accurately
Prepare and plate food according to Standard Operating Procedures
Maintain speed of service, especially during peak periods
Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards
Maintain Back of House (BOH) hygiene and cleanliness standards
Ensure accuracy of orders prepared
Maintain BOH stock levels in accordance with SOPs
Requirements
Customer service orientation
Good verbal communication skills
Senior Certificate (required)
National Senior Certificate (preferred)
Well-developed numeracy and literacy skills
6 months to 1 year experience as a kitchen prepper
