Job Overview:
Phakisa Holdings is looking to hire Pickers / Van Assistants on a temporary basis to support warehouse and delivery operations. This role involves accurate picking, sorting, and preparation of parcels, as well as assisting delivery drivers with loading, unloading, and handling parcels. The ideal candidate should be reliable, physically fit, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately pick items from shelves as per order list or scanning device.

Sort and prepare parcels for dispatch based on delivery schedules and routes.

Ensure all items are correctly labeled and scanned before dispatch.

Assist drivers with loading and unloading delivery vehicles.

Accompany drivers to delivery points and assist with on-site parcel handling.

Report any missing, damaged, or incorrect items to the supervisor promptly.

Adhere to health, safety, and company handling standards.
Minimum Requirements:

No formal degree required.

Previous experience in a warehouse, courier, or retail logistics environment will be advantageous.

Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items.

Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately.

Punctual, dependable, and able to work under pressure.
