    Job Title: Lecturer: Foundation Phase and Early Childhood Development

    Employment Type: Permanent (or five-year contract with doctoral completion requirement)

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Foundation Phase and Early Childhood Development.

    • Participate in the Work Integrated Learning (Teaching Practice) programme.

    • Conduct and publish academic research.

    • Develop curriculum content in Childhood Education.

    • Supervise and consult with undergraduate and postgraduate students.

    • Contribute to faculty leadership and administration.

    Qualifications:

    • A doctoral degree (NQF Level 10) in Education with a focus on Foundation Phase and Early Childhood Development (required for permanent appointment), or

    • A master’s degree (NQF Level 9) with proof of doctoral registration in the same field (required for contract appointment).

    • A formal teaching qualification with a focus on Foundation Phase or Early Childhood Development.

    • Minimum five years of experience in a school setting, or at least two years in higher education or research.

    • Proven record of academic presentations and at least one manuscript with publication potential.
