Job Description
The General Worker will perform a variety of general duties at VKB Retail, including maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the premises, assisting with the loading and offloading of stock, supporting customers and suppliers, and providing general assistance where required. The role requires someone who is physically capable of performing manual labour, service-oriented, accurate, and willing to take on additional duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the general tidiness and cleanliness of the premises.
- Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Assist customers and suppliers with loading and offloading stock.
- Ensure stock is handled according to company policies and procedures.
- Assist with basic stock-control activities.
- Provide professional and helpful customer service.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
- Contribute to the efficient functioning of the retail environment.
- Continuously look for ways to add value to the role and workplace.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 qualification.
- Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour.
- Ability to load and offload stock.
- Basic understanding of stock control.
- Customer service skills.
- Good service orientation.
- Accurate, thorough and precise approach to work.
- Good physical health.
- Willingness to perform general and ad hoc duties as required.
