Job Overview:
Good Knight Bedding is seeking a high-performing, sales-driven Area Retail Manager to oversee its flagship stores located in Bloemfontein. This role demands a dynamic and results-oriented individual with strong leadership and sales abilities. The successful candidate will manage two key retail locations, lead a small sales team, and ensure both stores meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
Note: You must have your own vehicle and at least 5 years of sales experience to be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and sales performance at both stores.
Ensure store targets of R400,000 per month are consistently met or exceeded.
Provide hands-on training, guidance, and support to the in-store sales team (2 staff members).
Maintain high standards of customer service, visual merchandising, and store presentation.
Drive high conversion rates through excellent product knowledge and sales techniques.
Ensure proper stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Report on store performance and implement strategies to maximize sales.
Develop strong product knowledge in beds, lounge suites, and bedroom furniture.
Minimum Requirements:
Own reliable vehicle (essential)
Matric (Grade 12) – preferred
Minimum 5 years of proven retail sales experience (required)
Prior retail management experience (required)
Knowledge of the bedding/furniture industry (advantageous)
Strong ability to meet and exceed sales targets
Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and under pressure
Remuneration:
Basic Salary: R8,000 – R18,000 per month (based on experience)
Commission: 3% – 10% commission on gross sales price from the first sale
No minimum targets to start earning commission
Additional Notes:
This role involves working in person at both store locations in Bloemfontein.
