    Position Purpose

    The Store Manager is responsible for leading the store team to achieve sales targets, control expenses, manage stock effectively, reduce stock losses, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain operational excellence within the store.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales and Business Performance

    • Drive sales growth and maximize store turnover.
    • Achieve and exceed store sales and profitability targets.
    • Monitor business performance and implement strategies to improve results.
    • Use store resources effectively to maximize productivity.

    Stock Management

    • Manage stock levels efficiently.
    • Monitor and control stock losses in line with company benchmarks.
    • Ensure accurate stock handling and inventory control processes.
    • Maintain thorough knowledge of merchandise and stock management procedures.

    Financial and Operational Control

    • Control store expenses and operating costs.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain high operational standards across all store functions.
    • Act as custodian of company policies and operational processes.

    Team Leadership and Staff Management

    • Lead, motivate, and develop store employees.
    • Manage staff performance and productivity.
    • Conduct training and coaching to improve employee performance.
    • Foster a professional, respectful, and positive workplace culture.
    • Ensure employees understand and uphold company standards.

    Customer Service

    • Deliver exceptional customer service experiences.
    • Address customer concerns professionally and efficiently.

    • Ensure customer interactions consistently meet or exceed expectations.

    Store Standards and Compliance

    • Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards.
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company regulations.
    • Monitor adherence to company operating procedures and legal requirements.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • Mathematics will be advantageous.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in:
      • Retail Store Management, or
      • Assistant Store Manager position.
    • Experience within a retail environment, preferably fashion or similar retail sectors.
    • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
