    Position Overview

    The Lecturer: Business Management position involves teaching and supporting students in Business Management-related subjects, conducting assessments, providing academic guidance, monitoring student performance, and contributing to academic excellence within the institution.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures, supporting student learning, conducting assessments, identifying at-risk students, and assisting with academic development initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Teaching and Learning

    • Present Business Management modules in physical and/or online classrooms.
    • Prepare and deliver lectures according to approved curriculum standards.
    • Develop lesson plans and learning materials.
    • Facilitate engaging learning experiences for students.
    • Support student academic development and success.

    Student Support

    • Conduct student consultations and academic advising sessions.
    • Provide guidance on coursework and assessments.
    • Identify students experiencing academic difficulties.
    • Implement intervention strategies for at-risk students.
    • Promote student retention and academic achievement.

    Assessment and Evaluation

    • Prepare, administer, and mark assessments.
    • Provide constructive and developmental feedback to students.
    • Evaluate academic performance against learning outcomes.
    • Ensure assessment processes comply with institutional policies.

    Academic Administration

    • Maintain accurate academic records.
    • Submit marks and reports within required deadlines.
    • Participate in moderation and quality assurance processes.
    • Support departmental administration and academic operations.

    Results Analysis

    • Analyse student performance at module level.
    • Identify trends affecting student success.
    • Recommend improvement strategies based on assessment outcomes.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    Research and Academic Development

    • Contribute to academic research and development activities.
    • Maintain and expand knowledge within the Business Management discipline.
    • Participate in academic projects and institutional initiatives where required.

    Minimum Requirements

    Qualifications

    Essential

    • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Business Management
    • Master’s Degree in Business Management

    Experience

    Industry Experience

    • 1–3 years relevant industry experience in Business Management or related fields

    Teaching Experience

    • 1–3 years lecturing or teaching experience
