Job Overview
VKB Milling is looking for a skilled and reliable Painter to join its Frankfort Wheat Mill team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint, primers, coatings, varnishes and other finishes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and filling cracks or holes.
- Apply paint, primers and coatings using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
- Mix and match paint colours as required.
- Protect furniture, floors and other areas before painting.
- Ensure all painting work is completed neatly and within deadlines.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain painting tools and equipment.
- Identify and resolve surface defects.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Grade 12.
- Relevant painting experience or training.
- Proven experience working as a painter.
- Knowledge of painting techniques and materials.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
