Job Description
VKB Group is seeking a motivated and hardworking Mechanic Apprentice to join its mechanization team. The apprenticeship provides an opportunity to gain practical mechanical experience while developing technical skills for a long-term career in the agricultural and mechanization sector.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Assist qualified mechanics with the servicing, maintenance and repair of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
- Gain hands-on experience in mechanical diagnostics and repairs under supervision.
- Learn to operate tools, equipment and workshop systems safely and correctly.
- Complete workplace training and maintain a training logbook.
- Help maintain a safe, clean and efficient workshop environment.
Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12.
- Mathematics and Physical Science will be an advantage.
- An interest in mechanics, agricultural machinery or technical work.
- Basic mechanical knowledge or workshop exposure will be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Willingness to register for and complete a formal mechanical apprenticeship.
