Job Overview
VKB Group is looking for a dependable and hardworking Tyre Attendant to join its Mechanization – Mechanics team in Reitz. The successful candidate will assist with tyre fitting, repairs, maintenance, handling and general workshop duties while ensuring safe and professional service to customers.
This role offers an opportunity to develop practical skills and gain valuable experience within an established agricultural and retail organisation.
Responsibilities
- Install, fit, remove and cover tyres according to company standards.
- Identify and repair tyre leaks efficiently and accurately.
- Balance tyres to ensure optimal performance.
- Load and offload tyres safely.
- Follow correct loading and unloading procedures.
- Maintain workshop equipment and store tools safely.
- Keep the department and workshop clean and organised.
- Follow health, safety and company procedures.
- Provide professional and friendly customer service.
- Assist with additional workshop and operational duties when required.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or relevant practical experience.
- 1–2 years’ experience in tyre fitting, tyre repair, workshop operations or a similar environment will be advantageous.
- Experience using tools and equipment and performing manual labour will be beneficial.
