    Job Overview

    Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Hub Advisor for its new Ficksburg store. The Hub Advisor will serve as the front-of-house concierge and guide customers through Dis-Chem’s integrated health and retail ecosystem.

    The successful candidate will provide a premium, personalised customer experience while helping customers navigate services such as Better Rewards, Clinic, Cover, Dispensary and the Dis-Chem App.

    The role combines customer service, digital assistance, loyalty programme support and coordination between different store services.

    Minimum Requirements

    Essential:

    • Matric / Senior Certificate or equivalent.
    • 5–8 years’ experience in customer-facing service roles, preferably in:
      • Hospitality or tourism
      • Reception, front desk or concierge services
      • Retail customer service
      • Banking or insurance
      • Premium or high-end service industries
    • Experience assisting customers through complex journeys involving bookings, check-ins, payments and guidance.
    • Retail experience is advantageous but not essential.
    • Willingness to learn about retail and healthcare environments.

    Advantageous:

    • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, Customer Experience, Retail Management, Business Administration or a related field.
    • Experience with loyalty programmes, memberships or service subscriptions.

    Key Responsibilities

    Customer Experience

    • Deliver a welcoming, personalised and premium customer experience.
    • Create a professional and hospitable first impression.
    • Identify customer needs and direct customers to the appropriate services.
    • Anticipate and resolve potential customer challenges.

    Ecosystem Navigation

    • Guide customers between Clinic, Cover, Dispensary and the Dis-Chem App.
    • Direct customers towards appropriate care pathways.
    • Coordinate customer flow between waiting areas, clinical rooms and dispensary.
    • Facilitate clear handovers between services.

    Better Rewards

    • Promote and champion the Better Rewards programme.
    • Assist customers with sign-ups and onboarding.
    • Explain programme benefits and how customers can use them.
    • Encourage customers to engage with other Dis-Chem ecosystem services.

    Digital and App Support

    • Assist customers with digital services and self-service journeys.
    • Help customers use interactive screens and digital check-in processes.
    • Support Dis-Chem App downloads, onboarding and navigation.
    • Help customers feel confident using digital tools.

    Front-of-House Support

    • Welcome customers and provide reception services for Clinic and Cover.
    • Capture consent, payment details and basic customer information.
    • Answer inbound store calls and direct them appropriately.
    • Capture customer feedback, compliments and service queries.
    • Provide selected non-clinical support to ensure smooth store operations.

    Customer Insights

    • Capture customer feedback and identify pain points.
    • Provide insights to help improve customer journeys, signage and processes.
    • Participate in improving Hub operations and service standards.

    General Duties

    • Maintain a clean and organised Hub workstation.
    • Follow Dis-Chem policies, procedures and SOPs.
    • Comply with health and safety requirements.
    • Follow Dis-Chem’s uniform and personal appearance standards.

    Conditions of Employment
