    CODIFICATION AND SUPPLY OFFICER 

    Job Title: Codification and Supply Officer

    Company Overview:
    The Free State Provincial Treasury plays a vital role in ensuring effective and efficient public financial management across all government departments in the province. It supports compliance, drives supply chain transformation, and promotes good governance. As part of its drive to strengthen supplier and logistics administration, the department is seeking a qualified Codification and Supply Officer.

    Responsibilities:

    • Verify and authorize supplier banking details and credentials in line with regulatory standards

    • Perform codification functions for suppliers in accordance with established norms and guidelines

    • Provide LOGIS support relating to supplier administration and codification

    • Ensure compliance with relevant LOGIS prescripts, Treasury Regulations, and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)

    Qualifications:

    • A relevant NQF Level 6 or higher qualification in:

      • Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, Financial Management, or a related field

    • Minimum of three (3) years’ clerical experience in all functional areas of LOGIS

    • Completion of LOGIS 1 course

    • Knowledge of:

      • PFMA, Treasury Regulations, LOGIS prescripts, National Treasury circulars, Public Service Act and Regulations

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills

    • Excellent communication and reporting abilities

    • Good customer care orientation

    • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to the public sector and supply chain systems

    Benefits:

    • Salary: R325,101 per annum (Level 07) – basic salary

    • Eligibility for public sector benefits, including pension, housing allowance, and medical aid (as applicable)
