    Job Description

    The OUTsurance Broker is responsible for growing the company’s personal and commercial short-term insurance portfolio by generating new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and providing insurance solutions that meet customer needs. The role requires proactive sales activities, including prospecting, cold calling, networking, and client relationship management.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Generate new business through prospecting and canvassing activities.
    • Build and maintain a portfolio of personal and commercial insurance clients.
    • Conduct face-to-face sales presentations and consultations.
    • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable insurance products.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
    • Achieve and exceed sales and business growth targets.
    • Manage leads and convert prospects into long-term clients.
    • Provide excellent customer service and after-sales support.
    • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
    • Ensure compliance with FAIS and insurance industry regulations.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric) or National Senior Certificate.
    • Valid Code B driver’s licence.
    • Own reliable vehicle with uninterrupted access.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ external sales experience in a face-to-face sales environment.
    • Experience in:
      • Lead generation
      • Cold calling
      • Business development
      • Relationship management
      • Opening new business opportunities

    Additional Requirements (For Experienced FAIS Representatives)

    • Relevant FAIS credits or recognised insurance qualification.
    • RE5 qualification (depending on Date of First Appointment).

    Reporting Structure

    The successful candidate will report directly to the OUTsurance Broker Regional Manager and work closely with the Commercial Team.
