Job Description
The Store Manager will lead and manage the retail store team to maximise sales, control stock losses, manage store administration, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining company standards and policies.
Main Responsibilities
Sales and Performance Management
- Promote and drive store sales.
- Achieve or exceed store sales targets.
- Manage store productivity and operational performance.
- Control store expenses to meet business targets.
Stock and Operations Management
- Manage stock levels and minimise stock loss.
- Ensure proper implementation of company policies and procedures.
- Maintain operational standards within the store.
Staff Management and Training
- Lead, supervise, and train store employees.
- Maintain a professional and respectful workplace culture.
- Ensure staff performance aligns with company expectations.
Customer Service
- Deliver high levels of customer service.
- Ensure positive customer interactions and shopping experiences.
Store Standards and Compliance
- Maintain store cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and relevant regulations.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Mathematics is advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in:
- Retail Store Management
- or Assistant Store Manager role
- Experience in a similar retail environment is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
