    Purpose of the Role

    The purpose of this role is to:

    • Provide efficient and friendly customer service
    • Process sales transactions accurately at the point of sale
    • Promote Clicks products, promotions, and loyalty programmes
    • Ensure smooth in-store operations and merchandising standards

    Main Responsibilities

    Customer Service

    • Deliver excellent customer service and act as a brand ambassador.
    • Assist customers in-store with product information and queries.
    • Promote a positive shopping experience (“feel good and pay less”).

    Cashier and POS Operations

    • Process sales accurately at the point of sale (POS).
    • Handle cash safely and securely at all times.
    • Scan merchandise correctly and process payments.
    • Ensure accuracy when handling transactions and loyalty rewards.

    Sales and Promotion

    • Promote Clicks ClubCard and enrol new members.
    • Inform customers about promotions and special offers.
    • Support sales targets through product awareness and upselling.

    Merchandising and Store Support

    • Maintain merchandising standards and product displays.
    • Assist with stock presentation and replenishment.
    • Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the store clean and organised.

    Product Knowledge

    • Stay updated on product ranges, promotions, and store events.
    • Provide accurate product information to customers.

    Minimum Requirements

    Education

    • Essential: Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Advantageous:
      • Mathematics (50% or higher)
      • English (50% or higher)

    Experience

    • Retail or FMCG customer service experience is advantageous
