Job Overview
The Site Manager is responsible for the overall management and supervision of security operations at assigned client sites. The role focuses on ensuring that security officers are deployed correctly, client security requirements are met, service standards are maintained, and staff are effectively managed.
The successful candidate will act as the primary link between the company and the client, ensuring professional service delivery, operational efficiency, compliance with contractual obligations, and effective people management.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations Management
- Ensure all security officers are posted according to operational requirements.
- Verify that security personnel meet all client contractual requirements.
- Monitor site security operations and maintain high service standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of security performance.
- Implement corrective measures where required.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain professional relationships with clients.
- Address client concerns and security-related issues promptly.
- Recommend service improvements to enhance client satisfaction.
- Ensure contractual obligations are consistently met.
Staff Management and Supervision
- Manage and supervise security officers and supervisors.
- Enforce discipline and compliance with company policies.
- Monitor attendance, performance, and conduct of employees.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to security teams.
- Ensure staff deployment schedules are effectively managed.
Incident Investigation and Reporting
- Investigate security incidents and operational irregularities.
- Compile and submit:
- Incident reports
- Weekly reports
- Monthly management reports
- Escalate serious incidents to management when necessary.
Human Resources Administration
- Handle employee-related queries and concerns.
- Ensure HR matters are addressed efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain personnel records and operational documentation.
- Support disciplinary and performance management processes.
Administrative Duties
- Complete operational and management reports.
- Maintain accurate security records.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Use Microsoft Office applications for reporting and administration.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
Security Industry Requirements
- PSIRA Grade A Registration and Accreditation
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the security industry
OR
- 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory security role
Management Experience
- People management and staff supervision experience
Driver’s Licence
- Valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
