    Job Overview

    PEP is seeking a motivated Store Manager to lead operations at its store in Bothaville. The role focuses on managing store performance by driving sales, controlling costs, reducing stock loss, and maintaining high store standards.

    The Store Manager will lead and develop a team to deliver excellent customer service while ensuring all store operations comply with company policies and procedures. This position requires strong leadership, retail management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

    Job Description

    The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all store operations and ensuring business targets and operational standards are achieved.

    Sales & Customer Experience

    • Increase store sales by delivering excellent customer service.

    • Maintain world-class store standards and store image.

    • Ensure proper stock management and promotional implementation.

    • Create a positive shopping experience that encourages repeat customers.

    Stock & Risk Management

    • Reduce stock loss and shrinkage through effective security and stock handling procedures.

    • Ensure proper cash handling and stock control processes are followed.

    • Promote a healthy store culture that supports loss prevention.

    Cost & Operational Management

    • Control store expenses in line with the company’s low-cost culture.

    • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and operational performance.

    • Ensure all administrative duties are completed according to company policies.

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead and manage a dynamic store team (Dynamos).

    • Provide training, coaching, and performance management to staff.

    • Motivate the team to achieve store targets and maintain high performance.

    Health, Safety & Store Standards

    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards.

    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment for customers and staff.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric)

    • Proficiency in English

    • 1–2 years retail experience, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role

    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office or Google GSuite) – advantageous

    • Relevant business or retail qualification – advantageous
