Tender Objective
The Department of Defence invites suitably qualified contractors to undertake the installation of air compressor pressure equipment and associated systems at the specified Department of Defence facility.
The appointed contractor will be responsible for carrying out the required installation, connections, testing and commissioning in accordance with the tender specifications.
Scope of Work
The work is expected to include:
- Installation of air compressor units and pressure equipment.
- Installation and connection of associated piping.
- Installation of valves and fittings.
- Integration of control systems and instrumentation.
- Testing of installed equipment and pressure systems.
- Flushing and related commissioning activities.
- Commissioning of the completed system.
- Verification that the installation performs according to the required specifications and safety requirements.
Detailed specifications, drawings and the Bill of Quantities must be obtained from the official tender documentation.
Mandatory Requirements
Tenderers must meet the following requirements:
CIDB Registration
- Minimum CIDB Grade 1ME or higher.
- Only contractors meeting the required CIDB grading are eligible to submit bids.
Supplier Registration
- Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
- Must be tax compliant.
Tender Documentation
- Bids must be submitted using the official tender documentation issued by the Department of Defence.
- Tender documents must comply with the prescribed completion, sealing, addressing and delivery requirements.
Submission
- Physical tender submissions are required.
- Emailed tenders will not be accepted.
- Late submissions will not be considered.
Technical Skills & Capacity
The contractor should have the technical capability to undertake mechanical engineering installation work involving pressurised systems.
Relevant capabilities include:
- Air compressor installation.
- Pressure-system installation and handling.
- Mechanical piping installation.
- Installation of valves and fittings.
- Equipment alignment.
- Welding and/or bolting.
- Pressure testing.
- System integration.
- Testing and commissioning.
- Compliance with applicable mechanical engineering and safety standards.
The contractor should have suitably skilled artisans, technicians and technical personnel capable of completing the installation in accordance with the project specifications.
